What is Asymmetrist?

Asymmetrist is an online publication that delves into the world of financial markets through the eyes of traders. Using creative non-fiction, we explore unconventional stories that blend facts with narrative to capture the true essence of the markets and the traders who navigate them. Our goal is to challenge conventional thinking and spark transformation in our readers.

Please see more in our About page.

What type of content can I expect?

We publish two main types of content:

Dispatches: Short, real-time stories and reflections from a trading floor, usually AXIA's London office. These are sent after significant market events or interesting experiences.

Features: Long-form, multi-part series that dive deep into various trading topics, such as the journey of a professional trader. These are released fortnightly on Saturdays at 12 PM London time / 7 AM New York time.

As we are in our early launch phase, we are fine-tuning our release schedule. We appreciate your patience and feedback during these early ‘prototype’ days.

Who owns Asymmetrist?

Asymmetrist is a brand owned by Axia Editions Limited, a company based in the United Kingdom.

Axia Editions is a newly established sister company to Axia Futures and Axia Markets Pro, both of which have led change in the professional futures trading space.

Axia Futures is the education and training arm, while Axia Markets Pro is the proprietary trading arm, with offices worldwide. Axia Editions aims to innovate between the worlds of publishing and financial markets with the same innovative drive.

Who runs Asymmetrist & What is their background?

Just me—Bogdan Stoichescu! I cut my teeth on the AXIA trading desks, where I developed my skills for years as a proprietary futures trader before taking on a long special project, which will be revealed soon. Now, I’ve rejoined the desks as a kind of “writer-in-residence” at AXIA’s London office, to explore and develop this intersection between trading, markets and creative storytelling.
